Getting from Brno Airport (BRQ) to Bratislava takes about 1h 35min by car on an empty road (1h 35min – 2h in heavy traffic) over 130 km via D2. Our private transfer costs €290 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €360 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Bratislava is about 130 km south of Brno. The drive uses the D2 motorway southwards across the Czech-Slovak border near Břeclav and Lanžhot, which has no controls in the Schengen area. A Czech digital vignette applies on the Czech side and a Slovak electronic vignette on the Slovak side. The route ends at the Danube, with a final stretch along the river through the city and over the Most SNP or Apollo bridge, depending on the hotel.
The old town of Bratislava is small and mostly pedestrian, with Hviezdoslavovo námestie, the Main Square, St Michael's Gate and the Primate's Palace within a few streets of each other. Bratislava Castle stands on a hill west of the old town and the Danube promenade lies to the south. Cars cannot enter the pedestrian core, so the driver stops at the edge, near the Slovak National Theatre or the riverside. The main railway station is about 1.5 km north of the old town.
Public transport instead: DPMB trolleybus 21, then rail bus+train 21 then international train from Airport to Brno Hlavní nádraží, then Brno hl.n. to Bratislava hl. st., trolleybus every 20 minutes, 1 change. No direct public connection from the airport. The shortest realistic route is trolleybus 21 to Brno main station and then an international train to Bratislava.
