Hamburg → city centre · about 12 km · about 30 min · fixed price €80 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Hamburg Airport (HAM) to Hamburg city centre costs €80 per car for 1–3 passengers and €110 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 12 km; the drive takes about 30 min with clear roads, so plan on 30–40 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight lands at (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2), after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Hamburg airport is in the northern district of Fuhlsbüttel, about 9 km from the city centre. The drive uses the Alsterkrugchaussee and the Ring 2 or the Autobahn A7, and takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. The A7 tunnel and the Elbe crossing cause heavy delays on weekdays, but they are on the southern side. Hamburg has no low-emission zone for private cars.
The centre of Hamburg is arranged around the Binnenalster lake, the Jungfernstieg promenade and the town hall. The main station sits on the east side, the Speicherstadt and HafenCity warehouse district to the south, and the harbour with the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken to the south-west. Hotels are concentrated near the Hauptbahnhof, along the Alster and in St. Georg. The Jungfernstieg and the Mönckebergstraße are partly pedestrian, so the car stops at the nearest street open to traffic.
Public transport instead: S-Bahn Hamburg train S1 from Hamburg Airport station (Terminals 1 and 2) to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof — about 25 min, every 10 minutes.
