Getting from Valencia Airport (VLC) to Gandía takes about 55 min by car on an empty road (55–70 min in heavy traffic) over 80 km via AP-7 and A-7. Our private transfer costs €130 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €180 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport's single terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, with a sign showing your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Gandía is a coastal city about 70 km south of the airport, known for its wide beach, the Palau Ducal of the Borgia family and Platja de Gandia, a popular summer resort. The drive follows the V-31 and the AP-7 or the N-332 coast road. In summer, weekends are busy near the beach, while the historic centre around the Palau Ducal has narrow streets with partial limits on cars.
Gandía has two centres. The historic town is a few kilometres inland, around the Palau Ducal, the Collegiate church and the Plaça Major, while the Platja de Gandia lies to the east, with a promenade, a wide sandy beach and high-rise apartments. The marina and the Grau area, near the Serpis river mouth, sit at the northern end of the seafront. Hotels are mostly at the beach, and the area is busiest in July and August, with a quieter off season.
Public transport instead: Renfe Cercanías train C-1 from Valencia Estació del Nord (reached from the airport by metro) to Gandía, regular, 1 change. No direct service from the airport; metro into Valencia, then the Cercanías C-1 from the Nord station (or a coach).
