Lisbon Humberto Delgado → Sintra · about 30 km · about 35 min · fixed price €70 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
Sintra from Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) by private transfer: €70 per car (1–3 people) or €100 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 30 km, roughly 35 min when traffic is light and 35–45 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2), after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, with a sign showing your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Sintra is a hill town about 25 km north-west of Lisbon with the Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle and the Quinta da Regaleira, all within the UNESCO-listed cultural landscape. The road in is the A37 or the IC19 and then the N9 up into the hills. The roads to Pena and the Moorish Castle are narrow and one-way for stretches, and in summer private cars are limited, so drop-off is at the town centre or the car park below the sites. Fog is common on the hilltops.
Sintra has three separate areas: the historic village around the National Palace with its two conical chimneys, the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace on the ridge above, and the Quinta da Regaleira and Monserrate to the west. The sights are spread over a few kilometres of steep, forested road, so visitors usually combine buses, walking and a pre-booked entry time. Tickets for Pena are timed and summer queues are long. The hills catch the Atlantic mist, so the weather is often cooler and wetter than Lisbon. Spring and autumn are the quieter seasons.
Public transport: No direct service; take the metro Red Line to Oriente and a CP train to Sintra, then local buses for the palaces.

The access road is narrow and traffic is restricted at peak times, so the driver stops at a designated point and the final climb is by foot or the shuttle bus.
