Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Montpellier Méditerranée Airport (MPL) to Montpellier city centre costs €45 per car for 1–3 passengers and €80 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 12 km; the drive takes about 25 min with clear roads, so plan on 25–35 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the Montpellier airport terminal, just after the baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Montpellier is a university city in Occitanie with the pedestrian Place de la Comédie, the Écusson (historic core) and the Antigone district. The airport at Mauguio is about 8 km east of the centre, reached via the A9 and the D66. The Écusson is a large pedestrian zone with a tram, so the driver stops at the nearest open street, often on the edge near the Comédie. Summer beach traffic on the A9 towards Palavas and La Grande-Motte slows the airport road at weekends.
The Place de la Comédie, with the Three Graces fountain and the Opera, is the meeting point of the old centre, the Écusson, whose lanes spread out behind it. The Promenade du Peyrou, a terrace with a triumphal arch and the Saint-Clément aqueduct, lies on the western side. The Antigone district, designed by Ricardo Bofill, stretches east of the Comédie. Saint-Roch station is about a five to ten minute walk to the south of the square. The beaches of Palavas are about twelve kilometres away. The centre is lively in summer evenings.
Public transport instead: TaM bus + tram bus 120 + tram 1 or 3 from Aéroport Montpellier-Méditerranée to Place de la Comédie / Saint-Roch via Odysseum — about 40–50 min, regular, 1 change.
