Antibes is a coastal town halfway between Nice and Cannes, known for its old ramparts, the Picasso Museum in the Château Grimaldi and the large yacht harbour Port Vauban. Cap d'Antibes, the peninsula to the south, holds Belle Époque villas and the Garoupe lighthouse. The route follows the A8 or the coastal road, passing Marina Baie des Anges. The old town is largely pedestrian with limited parking and the market at Cours Masséna runs most mornings. Summer traffic on the coastal road is heavy, especially in the afternoon.
The old town of Antibes lies inside ramparts along the sea, with the Château Grimaldi, now the Picasso Museum, and the Cours Masséna market in the centre. The Fort Carré stands on a point north of the harbour, and Port Vauban, one of the largest yacht harbours in the Mediterranean, is on the south-western side. The railway station is about ten minutes' walk from the old town. Juan-les-Pins, a separate beach resort, is on the other side of the Cap d'Antibes. The sandy beach of La Gravette lies in the old town.
Public transport instead: SNCF TER train TER from Nice-Ville (after tram T2 from the airport) to Antibes — about 15–25 min, every 15 min, 1 change.
