Getting from Tenerife South Airport (TFS) to Playa de las Américas takes about 20 min by car on an empty road (20–30 min in heavy traffic) over 19 km via TF-1. Our private transfer costs €55 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €80 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport's single terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, with a sign showing your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Playa de las Américas is Tenerife's busiest nightlife and holiday area, about 18 km from the airport, with the Veronicas strip, the Troya beach and a dense row of hotels and bars. The drive follows the TF-1 and the Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina. In the evening, one-way streets and heavy traffic are common around the Veronicas, which is largely pedestrian. Airport bus lines changed in 2026, so timetables should be checked.
Playa de las Américas is a dense resort built in the 1970s and 1980s, with its main attractions along the seafront. Playa de Troya, a dark-sand beach, and Playa del Camisón lie at the centre, with the Veronicas strip of bars and clubs one block inland. The Siam Mall and the Pirámide de Arona, a stepped building used for events, are nearby. To the north, the resort merges into Costa Adeje, and to the south into Los Cristianos by a promenade. Nights are lively all year, and the area is at its busiest in winter and at Easter.
