On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the passenger terminal at Almería Airport, just after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Mojácar is a whitewashed hill village above the Mediterranean in the north-east of the province, with a long resort coast below it. It lies about 76 km from the airport. The route heads inland on the A-7 motorway past Níjar and through dry hills towards Murcia, then leaves the motorway near Los Gallardos and continues on a local road through Turre to the village and the coast. There are no tolls on this route.
Mojácar has two parts. Mojácar Pueblo, the old village, sits on the hilltop with steep, narrow lanes, the Plaza Nueva viewpoint and the Church of Santa María; cars can reach the car parks at the edge of the old streets. Mojácar Playa stretches for several kilometres along the coast below, with hotels, apartments and beach bars on both sides of the coastal road. The Indalo, a prehistoric figure found in the area, is the local symbol seen all over the village.
Public transport instead: Surbus bus 30 (Almería - Aeropuerto - Retamar) from Almería Airport bus stop to Almería city centre (then intercity coach to Mojácar from the Estación Intermodal) — about 35 min, 1 change. ALSA bus Almería - Mojácar from Almería Estación Intermodal to Mojácar, 1 change. No direct public transport from the airport to Mojácar; take Surbus line 30 to Almería and an ALSA intercity coach from the Estación Intermodal to Mojácar.
