Getting from Bodrum Airport (BJV) to Bitez takes about 40 min by car on an empty road (40–55 min in heavy traffic) over 42 km via D330. Our private transfer costs €50 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €70 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands (international or domestic), after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, with a sign showing your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Bitez is a quieter seaside village on the south coast of the Bodrum peninsula, known for its wide bay, windsurfing conditions and orange orchards on the hillside. The drive follows the main road from the airport across the peninsula and then turns off towards the coast. The village roads are narrow, and the final approach to many hotels is on lanes just wide enough for one car. Seasonal traffic is lighter than in Gümbet or Bodrum town.
Bitez consists of a long beach with restaurants and small hotels, a centre with a few shops and a mosque further inland, and the orchards of mandarin and orange trees that cover the slopes. Water sports centres operate on the beach in summer. Bodrum town is a short drive east, and Gümbet is just beside Bitez. The area is busiest from May to October. Most hotels are within walking distance of the beach, and cars can reach them from the main village road.
Public transport: No direct public service to Bitez; the Havaş shuttle goes to Bodrum central bus station, and local dolmuş minibuses run from there to the surrounding districts.
