Most of Gümbet is arranged in a ribbon along the beach and the main road, with hotels and apartment blocks on the slope behind. Bars, restaurants and water-sport operators line the beachfront. It is a short ride from Bodrum centre, and local minibuses link the two. The resort is busiest from June to September and quiet in winter when many venues close.
