Sunny Beach from Burgas Airport (BOJ) by private transfer: €55 per car (1–3 people) or €80 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 34 km via 9, roughly 40 min when traffic is light and 40–55 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the public arrivals hall of the Burgas Airport passenger terminal, after baggage claim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Sunny Beach (Slanchev Bryag) is the largest resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, built along a wide bay north of Nesebar. From the airport the road heads north along the coast on the main road towards Varna, passing Pomorie, Aheloy and Ravda before turning off to the resort. The drive is straightforward, with no tolls, but in July and August the junctions at the Nesebar and Sunny Beach turnings are often congested, especially on changeover days when many hotel guests arrive and leave.
Sunny Beach stretches for several kilometres behind a long sandy beach, with hotels, apartment blocks and water parks set in parallel rows between the beach and the main road. A promenade runs along much of the seafront. The southern end of the resort merges with the new part of Nesebar, while to the north it reaches the hillside resort of Sveti Vlas. Many hotel entrances face inner resort streets rather than the beach, and in high season some of these streets are crowded with pedestrians in the evening.
Public transport: The airport operator lists no direct bus to Sunny Beach: bus line 15 goes to the central bus station in Burgas, where buses and minibuses leave for the resorts north and south of the city. No official timetable or fare for the change was.
