Orebić is a seaside town at the western end of the Pelješac peninsula, about 110 km from the airport. The road follows the D8 coastal route to the Pelješac bridge, which links the mainland to the peninsula without passing through Bosnia and Herzegovina, then the peninsula road past Ston. The drive takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. Roads are two-lane and slower in July and August.
Orebić faces the island of Korčula across a 1.5 km channel. A ferry for passengers and cars runs from the nearby Orebić port to Dominče on Korčula, and a passenger boat reaches Korčula town. Hotels line the seafront promenade, and the small Trstenica beach and the hill of Sveti Ilija rise behind the town. Wineries around Potomje produce Pelješac red wines. The car can stop at the ferry port or at the hotel entrance on the seafront.
Public transport: No direct service from the airport. Coaches run from Dubrovnik bus station along the Pelješac peninsula.
