Meeting point: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the Girona-Costa Brava terminal, just after the baggage reclaim exit, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Lloret de Mar is the largest resort on the southern Costa Brava, in La Selva county, around 35 km by road from the airport. The usual route heads south on the AP-7 motorway or the N-II to Vidreres and then follows the C-63 down through wooded hills to the coast. The last kilometres run through the town's ring of hotels and apartment blocks. In July and August, and on summer weekends, traffic builds up on the C-63 and in the streets near the seafront.
The town centre sits behind the main beach, Platja de Lloret, with its long promenade and the church of Sant Romà a few streets inland. To the west, Fenals beach has its own cluster of large hotels, while the Santa Clotilde gardens look over the sea between Fenals and Santa Cristina cove. Much of the old centre is pedestrian, so hotels inside it are reached on foot from the nearest street open to cars. Many hotels and campsites lie on the edge of town, close to the C-63 and the Water World park.
Public transport instead: Sagalés bus 613 (Aeroport de Girona - Lloret de Mar - Tossa de Mar) from Girona Airport bus stop to Lloret de Mar bus station — about 35 min, €12.00 single ticket, daily, including Sundays and public holidays.
