Keramoti from Kavala Airport (KVA) by private transfer: €50 per car (1–3 people) or €70 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 11 km, roughly 15 min when traffic is light and 15–25 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the Kavala airport terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Keramoti is a coastal village south of the airport, at the edge of the Nestos river delta, and it is the mainland port for ferries to Limenas on Thassos. The route is short, roughly 10 to 15 km on local roads across flat farmland and wetland, and usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. There are no motorway sections or tolls. In July and August the approach to the harbour fills with cars and coaches queuing for the ferry, especially around departure times.
The village is compact: the ferry quay and the small fishing harbour sit at its southern tip, with tavernas and cafes along the waterfront. Hotels and rooms are spread through the grid of streets behind it and along the long sandy beaches that run east and west of the village, and cars can reach most entrances. The lagoons and pine forest of the Nestos delta, part of a protected wetland, start just outside Keramoti. Thassos itself is a short crossing away by ferry.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport is. KTEL Kavala's weekday notice (undated) lists airport departures at 07:45, 11:25 and 14:00 connecting in Chrysoupoli with buses towards Keramoti, but its current status is unclear; check with KTEL Kavala. Fares are not published.
