Prague → city centre · about 18 km · about 35 min · fixed price €40 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Prague Airport (PRG) to Prague city centre costs €40 per car for 1–3 passengers and €60 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 18 km; the drive takes about 35 min with clear roads, so plan on 35–45 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight lands at (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2), after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Prague airport is at Ruzyně, about 15 km north-west of the centre. The drive takes 25 to 35 minutes via the Evropská avenue and the Prague Ring or via Patočkova towards the Prague Castle. Traffic on Evropská is heavy at rush hours, and the Old Town and the Charles Bridge area have restricted vehicle access, so the car stops at the nearest permitted street.
The centre of Prague consists of the Old Town (Staré Město) with the Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, the New Town with Wenceslas Square, the Lesser Town (Malá Strana) below the castle, and the Jewish Quarter. All lie within about 2 km of each other, on both sides of the Vltava river. Hotels are everywhere in this area. The Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge are pedestrian, so the car stops at the edge, such as on Na Příkopě or at the riverbank road.
Public transport instead: PID bus 59 + metro A from Airport (Terminals 1 and 2) to Nádraží Veleslavín, then metro A to the centre — about 35 min, CZK 50.00 single ticket, frequent through the day, 1 change. Prague Airport Express bus AE from Airport (Terminals 1 and 2) to Praha hlavní nádraží — about 33–40 min, CZK 200.00 single ticket, every 30 minutes.
