Getting from Rhodes Airport (RHO) to Afandou takes about 30 min by car on an empty road (30–40 min in heavy traffic) over 24 km via EO95. Our private transfer costs €45 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €50 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Afandou is a village and beach resort on the east coast of Rhodes, about 35 km from the airport. The route goes across to the east coast by the Rhodes bypass and then south on the national road past Kolymbia, in about 40 minutes. The coastal road is wide and quiet outside the summer, and the village lies on both sides of it. The long Afandou beach is a few minutes below the village.
Afandou has a pebble-sand beach several kilometres long, a village centre with a square and tavernas, and the island's only 18-hole golf course nearby. Hotels are mainly on the beach road, and the village is known for its hand-woven carpets. Kolymbia and Tsambika bay lie to the north, and Faliraki is about 10 km north. The car can stop at hotel entrances or in the village square.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport; the usual route is the airport bus to Rhodes town and a KTEL coach to Afandou.
