Getting from Split Airport (SPU) to Šibenik takes about 55 min by car on an empty road (55–70 min in heavy traffic) over 55 km via A1 and D58. Our private transfer costs €110 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €160 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Šibenik lies about 60 km north-west of Split airport. The drive takes about 50 minutes either on the A1 motorway (a toll road) or on the slower D8 coastal road through Primošten. The A1 toll is paid at the ramps. The old town is a pedestrian area built on a steep slope above the harbour, and the car stops at the waterfront.
Šibenik has the Cathedral of St James, a UNESCO World Heritage site, built entirely of stone, and a maze of stepped lanes leading up to the St Michael's Fortress. The waterfront promenade has cafes, and the town is a base for visits to Krka National Park, about 15 km away. Hotels are on the waterfront and in the Solaris resort, a few kilometres south-west. The old town streets are pedestrian and steep, so the car stops at the edge.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport; the usual route is via Trogir or Split bus station and an intercity coach to Šibenik.
