Getting from Tarragona Airport (REU) to Cambrils takes about 35 min by car on an empty road (35–45 min in heavy traffic) over 17 km. Our private transfer costs €45 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €65 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the public arrivals hall on the ground floor of the Reus Airport terminal, just after the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Cambrils is a fishing town and family resort on the coast south-west of Salou, about 17 km from the airport. The usual route runs south from Reus across farmland on the T-312 road or via the Salou ring roads, joining the coastal N-340 and the A-7 corridor at the edge of town. The route has no tolls. It is a quiet drive most of the year; in summer the roundabouts at the entrance to Cambrils and the coastal road towards Salou can be busy in the late afternoon.
The heart of Cambrils is the fishing harbour, lined with seafood restaurants and the old Torre del Port, with the town's original centre a few streets inland. Long sandy beaches stretch on both sides, and the Vilafortuny area towards Salou has many of the hotels and apartments. The seafront promenade is largely pedestrian, so cars stop on the parallel street or at the accommodation entrance. The Parc Samà gardens lie a short drive inland. Like the rest of the coast, Cambrils is busiest in summer.
Public transport instead: Autocares Plana (BusPlana) bus Aeropuerto - Port Aventura - Salou - Cambrils from Reus Airport bus stop to Cambrils (Cambrils Nautic stop), €3.90 single ticket, departures depend on flight schedules; service all year, reinforced in high season (timetable PDF on busplana.com).
