Salou from Tarragona Airport (REU) by private transfer: €40 per car (1–3 people) or €60 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 13 km, roughly 25 min when traffic is light and 25–35 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the public arrivals hall on the ground floor of the Reus Airport terminal, just after the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Salou is the largest beach resort of the Costa Daurada, about 13 km south of the airport. The drive leaves Reus and crosses the Camp de Tarragona plain, with its hazelnut groves and farmhouses, mainly on the C-14 dual carriageway between Reus and Salou, then passes the edge of the PortAventura resort before reaching the town. There are no tolls. In July and August the entrances to Salou and the roundabouts near the theme park can be slow, especially on Saturdays, when many hotel and apartment changeovers take place.
Most hotels line the Platja de Llevant and the Passeig Jaume I promenade, with the Platja de Ponent towards the port and La Pineda on the far side. To the east the Cap Salou headland has smaller coves such as Cala Crancs and the Platja Llarga, reached by a coastal path. The promenade itself is pedestrian, so drop-offs are made on the street behind it or at hotel entrances. Salou is busiest from June to September; in winter many hotels close and the town is much quieter.
Public transport instead: Autocares Plana (BusPlana) bus Aeropuerto - Port Aventura - Salou - Cambrils from Reus Airport bus stop to Salou (Salou Apeadero / Monumento Jaime I stop), €3.90 single ticket, departures depend on flight schedules; service all year, reinforced in high season (timetable PDF on busplana.com).
