Kotor from Tivat Airport (TIV) by private transfer: €40 per car (1–3 people) or €60 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 7 km, roughly 10 min when traffic is light and 10–20 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the Tivat Airport passenger terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Kotor sits at the innermost corner of the Bay of Kotor, on the other side of the Vrmac ridge from the airport. The airport operator lists the distance as about 8 km and the drive at around 12 minutes: the road crosses the ridge through the Vrmac tunnel and comes out above the bay near the Škaljari district, just south of the old town. On days when cruise ships are in port and throughout the summer, traffic on the shore road in front of the walls is heavy and can add time to the last kilometre.
The walled old town of Kotor is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site and is closed to cars; its main entrance, the Sea Gate, faces the harbour and the cruise ship quay. Inside are the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, small squares and narrow lanes, and from the back of the town a path of steps climbs the walls to the fortress of Saint John above. Vehicles drop off on the bay road beside the walls or near the bus station south of the old town. Many hotels and apartments are in Dobrota and along the shore north of the walls, reached directly by car.
Public transport: No public transport service is published by the airport operator for Tivat Airport; intercity buses between Tivat and Kotor run on the main road and end at Kotor bus station, but no official timetable for an airport stop was found.
