Amsterdam Schiphol → Utrecht · about 57 km · about 50 min · fixed price €140 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) to Utrecht city centre costs €140 per car for 1–3 passengers and €200 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 57 km via A2 and A9; the drive takes about 50 min with clear roads, so plan on 50–60 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of Schiphol's single terminal building, just beyond the baggage reclaim and customs exit (the Schiphol Plaza side), holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Utrecht lies about 40 km south-east of Schiphol, in the middle of the country and at the hub of the Dutch rail network. The road follows the A4 and A2, with the A2 the busy stretch into the city. The medieval core is built around the Oudegracht canal with its sunken wharf cellars and a large pedestrian and low-traffic zone; cars cannot drive freely along the canals, so the driver goes to the nearest permitted street. Utrecht Centraal sits on the west side of the centre. Rush hours on the A2 are slow.
The Domplein with the 112-metre Dom Tower is the heart of the old town, and from there the Oudegracht curves through the centre with its sunken wharves and the cafés along the water. Utrecht Centraal is joined to the Hoog Catharijne shopping centre and the Jaarbeurs exhibition halls, so walking to the Dom Tower takes about fifteen minutes. The Rietveld Schröder House, a UNESCO-listed building, stands a short distance east of the centre, and the Railway Museum is housed in the former Maliebaan station. The centre is busiest on Saturdays, when the shops and the markets draw many visitors.
Public transport instead: NS train Intercity from Schiphol Airport station to Utrecht Centraal — about 27–35 min, every 10-15 min.
