Private transfer, Zadar Airport (ZAD) to Novalja (Zrće): the car (1–3 passengers) is €180 and the van (4–8) is €220, a set price for the vehicle that does not change at checkout. Expect 83 km on the road via D106 and 6011; about 1h 30min off-peak, 1h 30min – 1h 55min in rush hour.
Pickup: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. The booking includes flight monitoring and an hour of free waiting from touchdown; your bags are loaded for you.
Novalja is a town on the island of Pag, with Zrće beach about 3 km from the centre, around 70 km from the airport. The drive crosses the Pag bridge from the mainland at Ražanac, taking about 1 hour 10 minutes. The Pag bridge has no toll, but in strong wind the bridge is closed to some vehicles. In summer, traffic to Zrće is heavy at night during festival season. The Prizna-Žigljen ferry is an alternative route.
Zrće beach, about 2.5 km long, is a large beach with clubs, bars and open-air festivals in the summer season, from June to September. Novalja itself has a harbour, a promenade and a lively centre. Hotels and apartments are in Novalja and along the road to Zrće. The beach is closed to cars, so vehicles stop at the car parks or hotel entrances. Outside the season most venues at Zrće are closed.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport; the usual route is via Zadar and a coach to the Žigljen ferry, then a ferry to Pag island.
