Nin is a small historic town on a lagoon island, about 15 km north-west of the airport. The drive takes about 20 minutes via Zemunik and Privlaka. The old town is on an islet connected by two bridges, and cars are not allowed on its streets. The road to Nin is quiet, and the traffic builds in summer on the weekends. The Queen's Beach, the large sandy beach, lies a few kilometres to the north.
Nin is called the oldest royal Croatian town, with the small church of St Nicholas on the outskirts, a Roman temple and a museum. Salt pans operate next to the town, and the sandy Queen's Beach has shallow water. The old town is small, and everything is within a five-minute walk. Hotels and apartments are in the town and along the Ninska laguna. The car stops at the bridge or the car park, and the last part is on foot.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport.
