Basel → Basel · about 8 km · about 15 min · fixed price €65 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Basel Airport (MLH) to Basel costs €65 per car for 1–3 passengers and €95 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 8 km; the drive takes about 15 min with clear roads, so plan on 15–25 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: EuroAirport has one terminal divided into a Swiss sector and a French sector. Unless another exit is agreed in your booking, the driver waits in the arrivals area on Level 2 of the Swiss sector, after the Swiss customs exit, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
The airport stands on French soil near Saint-Louis, but its Swiss sector is linked to Basel by a fenced customs road, so cars leaving that side reach Switzerland without passing through French streets. The route continues along the Rhine past the St. Johann district into the city, about 8 km in total. In normal traffic the drive takes around 15 minutes; weekday rush hours and large fair days at Messe Basel slow the approach to the bridges and the area around Basel SBB station.
Basel is split by the Rhine into Grossbasel on the left bank, with the old town, the red sandstone Minster and the Town Hall on Marktplatz, and Kleinbasel on the right bank, home to the exhibition centre and the riverside promenade. Much of the medieval core around Marktplatz and Barfüsserplatz is closed to private cars, so drop-offs there are made at the nearest permitted street. Hotels cluster around Basel SBB station, near the Messe in Kleinbasel and along the river, all within a few tram stops of each other.
Public transport instead: BVB (Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe) bus 50 from EuroAirport, terminal forecourt (Arrivals Zone, Swiss sector) to Basel SBB railway station — about 20 min, every 7 to 10 min, 04:30 to midnight.
