On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the passenger terminal, after baggage reclaim and customs, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Titanic Belfast is the visitor attraction in the Titanic Quarter, built on the slipways of the former Harland and Wolff shipyard where the Titanic and her sister ship Olympic were constructed. From the airport the drive is about 24 km: the M2 brings traffic into the city, the M3 crosses the River Lagan on the Lagan Bridge, and a short run along the harbour roads leads to Queens Road. Event nights at the nearby SSE Arena can slow traffic on the approach roads.
The building, clad in silver shards and shaped like ship bows, faces the slipways and the Titanic Hotel in the restored Harland and Wolff drawing offices. HMS Caroline, a First World War cruiser, and the Thompson Dry Dock with its pump-house are a short walk away, as are the SSE Arena and the W5 science centre. The giant yellow Samson and Goliath cranes rise over the shipyard to the east. A drop-off area is beside the main entrance on Olympic Way, and the city centre is about 2 km away across the river.
Public transport instead: Translink (Ulsterbus) bus Airport Express 300 from Belfast International Airport bus stop (outside the terminal) to Belfast city centre (Belfast Grand Central Station), every 15 min at weekday peak times, 7 days a week. Translink (Glider) bus G2 (City Centre - Titanic Quarter) from May Street (City Hall) / Wellington Place to Titanic (Queens Road), 1 change. No direct public transport from the airport to Titanic Belfast: Airport Express 300 runs to the city centre, where the G2 Glider continues to the Titanic stop on Queens Road.
