Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
Getting from Dublin Airport (DUB) to Malahide takes about 20 min by car on an empty road (20–30 min in heavy traffic) over 14 km. Our private transfer costs €60 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €85 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, whichever your flight lands at, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Malahide is a coastal town on the Broadmeadow estuary, the closest seaside destination to Dublin Airport, about 10 km to the north-east. The drive follows regional roads past Swords or through the countryside east of the airport and enters the town from the west near Malahide Castle demesne, without motorways or tolls. Traffic is usually light, although the main street and the roads around the marina can be slow on summer weekends and during concerts held in the castle grounds.
The town centre is compact, with New Street, Main Street and The Green lined with shops, pubs and restaurants close to the railway station. The marina and the estuary walk are a few minutes east of the centre, and the coast road continues south to the beaches of Portmarnock. Malahide Castle stands in a large public park on the western side of town, with gardens and walking paths. Hotels and guesthouses are in the centre and along the coast road, all reachable by car.
Public transport instead: Go-Ahead Ireland (TFI) bus 102 (Dublin Airport - Sutton DART via Swords) from Dublin Airport TFI bus zones to Malahide Station and Sutton Station (DART). Iarnród Éireann (DART / Northern Commuter) train DART Malahide - Greystones from Malahide Station to Dublin city centre (Connolly, Tara Street) and south coast.
