Lassi is a resort on the small peninsula just south-west of Argostoli, between the airport and the capital. The road from the airport heads north through the Livatho villages and reaches Lassi before town, about 6 to 7 km in total, normally a 10 to 15 minute drive. The resort sits on a hillside above the sea, with one main road running through it. In July and August the beach car parks and the main road through the resort are busy during the day.
Most hotels and apartments in Lassi line the main road or the lanes climbing the slope behind it, so cars can stop close to almost every entrance. The two main sandy beaches, Makris Gialos and Platis Gialos, are below the road on the south side of the resort, linked by a short walk. On the northern tip of the peninsula stand the Agioi Theodoroi lighthouse, a circular colonnaded building, and the Katavothres sinkholes. Argostoli's centre is about 2 to 3 km away, within walking distance along the coastal road.
