Getting from Murcia Airport (RMU) to La Manga del Mar Menor takes about 45 min by car on an empty road (45–55 min in heavy traffic) over 55 km via RM-12 and A-30. Our private transfer costs €75 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €110 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the public arrivals area of the terminal, right after the baggage reclaim hall and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
La Manga del Mar Menor is a narrow sand strip about 21 km long that separates the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor lagoon, built up with apartment blocks, hotels and holiday homes. From the airport the route heads south on the A-30 motorway, turns east onto the AP-7 around Cartagena and then follows the RM-12 to the start of the strip near Cabo de Palos. The distance to the southern part of La Manga is about 55 km; addresses further north along the strip add several kilometres.
Almost everything on La Manga lines one road, the Gran Vía de La Manga, and addresses are usually given by kilometre point along it. The Mediterranean beaches are on the east side and the calmer Mar Menor beaches on the west, often only a few hundred metres apart. Around the middle of the strip the El Estacio channel and the Tomás Maestre marina connect the two seas, crossed by a lifting bridge. In July and August traffic on the Gran Vía is slow in the evenings.
Public transport: No direct public bus from the airport to La Manga: the Interbus airport lines run only to Murcia and Cartagena, so the trip needs a change of bus.

Not directly. The Interbus airport lines go to Murcia and Cartagena only, so reaching La Manga by public transport means changing to a regional bus.
Most addresses on La Manga are given as a kilometre point on the Gran Vía de La Manga, the single road along the strip; giving that kilometre number makes the drop-off easy.
