A private transfer from Murcia Airport (RMU) to Murcia costs €50 per car for 1–3 passengers and €70 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 25 km via A-30 and MU-33; the drive takes about 25 min with clear roads, so plan on 25–35 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the public arrivals area of the terminal, right after the baggage reclaim hall and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Murcia is the regional capital, a university city on the Segura river surrounded by the irrigated farmland of the huerta. The airport lies in the Corvera area to the south, beyond the Carrascoy hills, so the drive starts on the RM-16 airport access road and then follows the A-30 motorway north through the mountain pass towards the city. The last stretch uses the MU-33 southern access road and crosses the river into the centre. The route is about 25 km and usually takes under half an hour outside the morning and evening rush.
The historic centre sits on the north bank of the Segura. The cathedral of Santa María faces Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, and the pedestrian streets Trapería and Platería lead from there to Plaza de Santo Domingo, with the Real Casino on the way. Many central streets are pedestrian or restricted, so drop-offs are made on the nearest open street, for example Gran Vía or the Glorieta de España by the town hall. South of the river lies the El Carmen district with the main railway station, while the bus station is in San Andrés, west of the old town.
Public transport instead: Interbus (Interurbana de Autobuses) bus Airport - Murcia from Región de Murcia International Airport (stop by the car park) to Murcia bus station (San Andrés), scheduled service, timetable published by Interbus (valid 15 April - 31 December 2026).
