Agia Anna is a former fishing village on the west coast of Naxos, south of Agios Prokopios, roughly 6 km from the airport. The route follows the same road south past the Alyki salt flats and through Agios Prokopios before reaching Agia Anna, and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Because the coastal road passes through both resorts, traffic slows in July and August near the beach car parks, where cars often stop at the roadside.
Agia Anna has a small harbour with a jetty used by fishing boats and summer excursion boats, and a sandy beach on either side of it. Tavernas and rooms crowd around the harbour, while larger hotels stretch along the road towards Agios Prokopios to the north. To the south the sand continues as Maragkas beach and then the long sweep of Plaka. The centre is compact, and vehicles can drop passengers by the harbour or at the hotel entrances.
