Naxos → Naxos Town (Chora) · about 3 km · about 10 min · fixed price €50 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Naxos Airport (JNX) to Naxos Town (Chora) costs €50 per car for 1–3 passengers and €70 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 3 km; the drive takes about 10 min with clear roads, so plan on 10–20 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the small Naxos airport terminal, after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Chora, also called Naxos Town, is the island's capital and ferry port on the west coast. The airport is only about 3 km to the south, separated from town by the flat coastal plain and the Agios Georgios area, so the drive normally takes under ten minutes. The road enters town along the southern edge and reaches the waterfront close to the port. In summer, ferry arrivals bring short queues of vehicles along the seafront road, and parking in the centre is limited.
The port and the long waterfront promenade, the Paralia, form the front of Chora, lined with cafes and the KTEL bus station near the quay. A causeway leads from the harbour to the Portara, the marble gateway of an unfinished temple of Apollo on the islet of Palatia. Above the harbour rise the Bourgos quarter and the Venetian Kastro, where the lanes are stepped and closed to cars, so vehicles stop at the waterfront or the edge of the old town. Many hotels sit south of the centre around Agios Georgios beach, a short walk away.
Public transport instead: KTEL Naxos bus Plaka - Agia Anna - Agios Prokopios - Naxos Town (return direction) from Airport stop on the main road (about 300 m from the terminal) to Naxos Town (Chora) bus station by the port, about every 1-2 hours in the 17-23 October 2026 timetable (8 trips a day); timetable changes with the season.
