Getting from Olbia Airport (OLB) to San Teodoro takes about 35 min by car on an empty road (35–45 min in heavy traffic) over 29 km via SS131DCN and SP5bis. Our private transfer costs €90 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €130 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the Olbia Costa Smeralda terminal, just after the baggage reclaim exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
San Teodoro is a beach resort on the coast south of Olbia, facing the island of Tavolara. The fastest route leaves the airport for the SS131 DCN, the dual carriageway towards Nuoro, and follows it south for about 13 km before turning onto the SP5bis and the old SS125 into town. The alternative coastal SS125 runs through Porto San Paolo and is slower. Out of season the town is quiet, while in July and August the roads near the beaches and the town centre fill up in the late afternoon.
The beach of La Cinta stretches for several kilometres on a thin strip of sand between the sea and the San Teodoro lagoon, where flamingos are often seen. North of the town are the bays of Cala Brandinchi and Lu Impostu, with shallow turquoise water and pine trees behind the sand. Puntaldia, with its small marina and golf course, lies on the headland towards Capo Coda Cavallo. Hotels and holiday homes are spread between the town centre, La Cinta and these bays, and the driver goes to the address or the nearest access road to it.
Public transport instead: ARST bus Olbia Airport - Siniscola / Nuoro from Olbia Airport, platform 4 to San Teodoro (via Murta Maria, Porto San Paolo), several departures a day (winter timetable 14 Sept - 15 June). Deplano bus Olbia Airport - Nuoro (seasonal) from Olbia Airport, platform 2 to San Teodoro crossroad (bivio), about 6 departures a day, June - September.
