Medulin is a resort at the southern tip of Istria, about 10 km south of the airport and a drive of 15 minutes. The road goes through Pula and then south on the D66 and local roads. The traffic is light, and the area is flat with dry stone walls. In summer there is a queue at the road into the Medulin centre in the evenings. The peninsula has several camps and holiday parks.
Medulin has a long promenade, several pebbly and sandy beaches, and a small harbour with tavernas. Premantura and the Kamenjak nature park lie further south, with wild beaches. Hotels and holiday parks are around the bays of Medulin, Bijeca and Pomer. The central promenade is pedestrian, and the car can stop at hotel entrances on the access roads. Boat trips to the Medulin archipelago leave from the harbour in season.
