Getting from Pula Airport (PUY) to Poreč takes about 1h 45min by car on an empty road (1h 45min – 2h 10min in heavy traffic) over 62 km via A9 and D302. Our private transfer costs €140 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €200 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Poreč is a resort town on the west coast of Istria, about 55 km north of the airport. The drive takes about 55 minutes via the Istrian Y motorway (a toll road) and the road through Kanfanar, or via the older road through Vodnjan and Žminj. The Istrian Y is toll-paid at a ramp. Traffic in summer is heavy on the approach road to Poreč, especially at weekends.
Poreč is known for the Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage site with Byzantine mosaics, in the old town on a small peninsula. The main street Decumanus is a pedestrian street, and the harbour and the waterfront promenade lie next to it. Many hotels are in the resorts of Plava Laguna and Zelena Laguna to the south, and in Lanterna to the north. The car can stop at the edge of the old town, near the harbour or the market.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport.
