Rovinj from Pula Airport (PUY) by private transfer: €110 per car (1–3 people) or €160 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 45 km via 5096 and A9, roughly 1h 40min when traffic is light and 1h 40min – 2h when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Rovinj is a fishing town on the west coast of Istria, about 40 km north of the airport. The drive takes 45 minutes via Vodnjan and the Istrian state road D21, which is single carriageway and slow behind trucks. Cars are not allowed into the old town on its peninsula, and the large car parks are on the edge of the old town. Traffic is heavy at weekends in summer, especially around the harbour.
The old town of Rovinj is on a peninsula, dominated by the Baroque church of St Euphemia, with lanes running up from the harbour. The Balbi Arch, the Grisia street of artists and the Carera street are within a few minutes. Hotels are in the old town, on the Katarina island and along the Lone Bay. The old town is pedestrian, so the car drops at the harbour edge or the car park, and luggage is carried on foot or on a cart.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport.
