Getting from Santorini Airport (JTR) to Kamari takes about 10 min by car on an empty road (10–20 min in heavy traffic) over 3 km. Our private transfer costs €40 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €60 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the airport terminal, after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Kamari is a beach resort on the east coast of Santorini, only about 3 km from the airport, so the drive takes 5 to 10 minutes. The road passes the foot of Mesa Vouno, the rocky hill that separates Kamari from Perissa. The black volcanic sand beach lies along the seafront promenade. The road is narrow in the village centre, and parking by the beach fills in July and August.
Kamari has a black pebble beach and a long seafront promenade with tavernas and shops. The ancient city of Thera stands on top of Mesa Vouno above the village, reached by a road and a hiking path. Hotels are along the promenade and the streets behind, and the car can stop at hotel entrances or the main road. Fira is about 10 km north-west and Perissa is about 5 km south, via a road around the hill.
Public transport: No direct public service from the airport.
