Sirmione from Verona Airport (VRN) by private transfer: €130 per car (1–3 people) or €180 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 37 km via A4, roughly 50 min when traffic is light and 50–60 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the Arrivals Terminal of Verona Villafranca Airport, at the exit of the arrivals hall after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Sirmione occupies a narrow peninsula on the southern shore of Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia, about 35 kilometres west of the airport. The usual route follows the A4 Serenissima motorway, a toll road, from the Sommacampagna junction to the Sirmione exit, then local roads through Colombare to the start of the peninsula. The old town beyond the Scaliger Castle is closed to ordinary traffic, so drop-offs for the historic centre are made before the castle bridge, while hotels on the peninsula with their own access can be reached directly.
The peninsula stretches about four kilometres into the lake. At its base lies Colombare with lakeside hotels and the bus stops; further north the Scaliger Castle with its moat marks the entrance to the old town, whose lanes lead to the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Aquaria thermal spa and Jamaica Beach. The Grottoes of Catullus, the ruins of a Roman villa, occupy the tip. In the busy season a small urban shuttle bus links Colombare, the peninsula and the historic centre, and boats of the lake ferry service call at the pier next to the castle.
Public transport instead: ATV (Azienda Trasporti Verona) bus Verona Airlink from Verona Airport, stop at the arrivals-side exit to Verona Porta Nuova railway station (forecourt), €7.00 single ticket, daily, every 20 min at peak times and every 40 min otherwise; from the airport 05:35-23:10. Arriva Italia (Brescia) bus LN026 from Verona to Sirmione, €4.20 single ticket, 1 change. No direct public transport from Verona Airport to Sirmione: take the ATV Verona Airlink shuttle to Verona Porta Nuova, then Arriva line LN026 towards Brescia to Sirmione.
