Tsilivi is a resort on the east coast of Zakynthos, about 8 km north of the town and about 12 km from the airport. The drive takes 20 minutes, first through the town and then north on the coastal road past Planos. The area is flat and the road is wide. Tsilivi is popular with families, and the main road has heavy traffic in July and August in the evening.
Tsilivi has a long sandy beach with shallow water, a seafront with tavernas and a series of water-sports stands. Planos, a village just inland, has a small centre with restaurants. Hotels and apartments are along the main road and the lanes near the beach, with entrances reachable by car. Zakynthos Town is a short drive south, and the road continues north to Alykanas and Alykes. Boat excursions leave from nearby ports.
