Bratislava Castle from Bratislava Airport (BTS) by private transfer: €35 per car (1–3 people) or €50 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 16 km via D1, roughly 25 min when traffic is light and 25–35 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the public arrivals hall of the terminal, after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Bratislava Castle stands on a hill above the left bank of the Danube, at the western edge of the Old Town, about 14 km by road from the airport. The drive crosses the eastern districts of the city, passes the centre and then climbs the castle hill by the access roads on its northern side. The final part runs through busy central streets, so weekday rush hours and events in the centre can slow the last kilometres. Motorway sections used on the way require an electronic vignette.
The four-towered castle, rebuilt in its 18th-century form, houses exhibitions of the Slovak National Museum, and its terraces and Baroque gardens look over the Danube, the Petržalka district and, on clear days, towards Austria and Hungary. The building of the National Council of the Slovak Republic stands next to the castle. Cars can reach the hilltop area, where visitors walk the last part to the gates; St. Martin's Cathedral and the Old Town lie a short walk down the hill.
Public transport instead: Dopravný podnik Bratislava (DPB), IDS BK bus 61 (night: N61) from Bratislava Airport, stop on the approach road in front of the Departures terminal to Bratislava Main Railway Station (Hlavná železničná stanica), day line 61, night line N61. No direct public transport from the airport to Bratislava Castle: bus 61 runs to the Main Railway Station, and the castle on the hill above the Old Town is reached from there by the city network or on foot.
