Getting from Budapest Airport (BUD) to Szentendre takes about 45 min by car on an empty road (45–55 min in heavy traffic) over 49 km via M0 and 11612. Our private transfer costs €70 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €100 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 2A or Terminal 2B, whichever your flight arrives at, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Szentendre is a small town on the right bank of the Danube, just north of Budapest at the start of the Danube Bend. From the airport the road avoids the city centre: it follows the M0 ring road around the eastern edge of Budapest, crosses the Danube on the Megyeri Bridge and continues north on main road 11 along the river, about 50 km in all. The M0 is a motorway, so an electronic vignette applies on that section. Main road 11 narrows into the town and is busy on summer weekends with day visitors.
The old centre of Szentendre is a compact grid of narrow lanes around Fő tér, the main square, with Baroque houses, several Serbian Orthodox churches, small museums and galleries. The Danube promenade runs along the river just below the square, and the Skanzen open-air museum lies on the hills a few kilometres north-west of the centre. Most lanes in the old town are narrow or pedestrian, so drop-offs are usually made on the riverside road or near the HÉV and bus station at the southern edge of the centre.
Public transport instead: BKK bus 100E Airport Express from Liszt Ferenc International Airport, arrivals level between Terminals 2A and 2B to Deák Ferenc tér (stops also at Kálvin tér and Astoria), HUF 2500.00 single ticket, around the clock; every 5-10 minutes during the day, every 20-40 minutes at night. MÁV-HÉV suburban train (HÉV) H5 from Batthyány tér (metro M2 from Deák Ferenc tér) to Szentendre, 2 changes. No direct connection from the airport. The simplest public transport route is the 100E Airport Express to Deák Ferenc tér, metro M2 to Batthyány tér and the H5 suburban railway to its terminus in Szentendre.

Yes. The H5 suburban railway (HÉV) runs from Batthyány tér in Buda to Szentendre, where the line ends close to the old town.
The lanes of the old town are narrow and partly pedestrian, so cars usually stop on the Danube promenade road or by the station, a few minutes' walk from Fő tér.
