Geneva → Geneva · about 9 km · about 25 min · fixed price €65 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from Geneva Airport (GVA) to Geneva costs €65 per car for 1–3 passengers and €95 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 9 km; the drive takes about 25 min with clear roads, so plan on 25–35 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals hall of the main terminal, after baggage reclaim and the customs exit, holding a sign with your name; the airport information desk is opposite the customs exit. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
Geneva Airport sits on the north-western edge of the city, so the centre is only about 6 km away. The usual drive follows the Route de Ferney or the Avenue de France past the international district around Place des Nations, then runs down to the Cornavin station area and the lake. No motorway is needed, so no vignette applies. The roads into the centre are busy in weekday rush hours, and large international conferences can add traffic around the Palais des Nations.
Central Geneva wraps around the end of Lake Geneva where the Rhône flows out. On the right bank, the Pâquis and Cornavin quarters hold most of the hotels, close to the lakeside Quai du Mont-Blanc and the Bains des Pâquis. Across the Pont du Mont-Blanc, the left bank has the shopping streets around Rue du Rhône, the Jardin Anglais with the flower clock and, up the hill, the Old Town with St. Pierre Cathedral. Parts of the Old Town are pedestrian or restricted to residents, so cars stop at the nearest open street.
Public transport instead: SBB CFF FFS train any train towards Genève-Cornavin from Genève-Aéroport station (beneath the terminal) to Genève-Cornavin — about 7 min, CHF 3.00 single ticket, up to seven trains per hour at peak times. Tpg (Transports publics genevois) bus tpg urban lines from the airport from bus stops on the Check-in level, next to the CFF railway station to Geneva city centre, CHF 3.00 single ticket, every 8-15 minutes at peak times on urban lines.
