Kirchberg from Luxembourg Airport (LUX) by private transfer: €60 per car (1–3 people) or €85 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 10 km, roughly 15 min when traffic is light and 15–25 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the arrivals hall on level -1 of Terminal A, after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Kirchberg is the plateau district between the airport and the Old Town, home to the European institutions, the banking quarter, the Luxexpo exhibition centre and the Philharmonie. It is the closest major destination to the airport: the road follows the Route de Trèves west from Findel and then John F. Kennedy Avenue, the long boulevard that crosses the whole plateau and carries the tram line. Morning and evening peaks on the avenue and at the Kirchberg motorway junctions bring the heaviest traffic of the trip.
Most of Kirchberg is laid out along John F. Kennedy Avenue. Place de l'Europe at its western end has the Philharmonie, the European Convention Center and the Mudam modern art museum next to Fort Thüngen, while the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Investment Bank and the European Parliament offices lie close by. Further east are the Luxexpo exhibition grounds, office towers and hotels. Most buildings have driveways or drop-off points on the side streets off the avenue.
Public transport instead: Luxtram tram T1 from Findel - Luxembourg Airport to stops on the Kirchberg plateau (e.g. Luxexpo, Pfaffenthal - Kirchberg), €0.00 single ticket, every 3 to 8 minutes (line capacity figure of the operator).
