Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the Arrivals Hall of Monastir Habib Bourguiba Airport, in the area for people meeting arriving passengers after the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. Monastir is a historic port town on the Tunisian Sahel coast and the birthplace of Habib Bourguiba, the first president of Tunisia. The airport lies on the western edge of the town beside the Skanes hotel zone, so the drive into the centre is short, about 9 km. The road leaves the airport on the regional road RR92 and then follows the Route de la Falaise along the coast, passing hotels and the town beaches before reaching the walls of the medina and the Ribat. There are no tolls on this route.
The centre of Monastir is compact. The Ribat, an eighth-century fortress, stands on the seafront next to the marina, and the Bourguiba Mausoleum with its golden dome is reached through the old Sidi el Mezri cemetery a few hundred metres away. The small medina, the Bourguiba Mosque and the Sahel Metro station lie just inland. The marina is lined with cafes and apartments, and the corniche continues north to the town beaches. Streets inside the medina are narrow, so drop-offs are made on the surrounding avenues or at hotel entrances.
Public transport instead: Sahel Metro (SNCFT suburban line Sousse Bab Jedid - Monastir - Mahdia) train Sahel Metro from Habib Bourguiba Airport stop to Monastir station (Gare Habib Bourguiba Monastir), city centre, average frequency of 40 minutes; 46 scheduled services a day between 05:00 and 22:00 on the whole line (airport website).

Yes. The Sahel Metro has a stop called Habib Bourguiba Airport on its line from Sousse Bab Jedid to Mahdia, and trains continue to Monastir station near the medina. The airport gives an average frequency of 40 minutes between 05:00 and 22:00.
Yes, the Ribat and the marina are on the coastal road, so cars can stop close by. The lanes of the medina itself are too narrow for through traffic, so the last few metres are on foot.
