San Marino from Rimini Airport (RMI) by private transfer: €110 per car (1–3 people) or €160 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 29 km via SS72, roughly 50 min when traffic is light and 50–60 min when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits at the arrivals exit on the ground floor of the single passenger terminal of Rimini Federico Fellini Airport, just after baggage reclaim and passport control, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
San Marino, one of the world's oldest republics, sits on the slopes and summit of Mount Titano, about 25 kilometres inland from the airport. The road leaves the coast through the southern outskirts of Rimini and joins the SS72, which crosses the border at Dogana without any passport check and climbs through Serravalle, Domagnano and Borgo Maggiore in a series of bends. The final stretch to the city is steep and winding; the walled historic centre is closed to most traffic, so drop-offs are made at the gates or car parks below.
The City of San Marino stretches along the ridge of Mount Titano. From Porta San Francesco and the bus terminal below the walls, lanes climb to Piazza della Libertà with the Palazzo Pubblico, then follow the crest past the Basilica of San Marino to the three towers, Guaita, Cesta and Montale, with views over the Romagna hills and the Adriatic. Hotels inside and just outside the walls can be reached on the access roads, while the centre itself is explored on foot. Borgo Maggiore, below the city, is linked to it by a cable car.
Public transport instead: Start Romagna bus 9 from Rimini Airport (stop in front of the terminal) to Rimini railway station / Arco d'Augusto, €2.00 single ticket. Bonelli Bus / Benedettini bus Rimini - San Marino from Rimini railway station (Stazione FFSS), also Arco d'Augusto to San Marino (Murata / Ex Stazione Park 2 Bus) — about 55 min, €7.00 single ticket, 8 runs a day, every day (winter timetable 15 Sep - 7 Nov 2026, first 08:00, last 19:00 from Rimini station), 1 change. No direct public transport from Rimini Airport to San Marino: take Start Romagna line 9 to Rimini railway station, then the Rimini - San Marino bus.
