San Sebastian → San Sebastian · about 21 km · about 20 min · fixed price €80 per vehicle.
Price calculated. Change the date or destination if you like.
A private transfer from San Sebastian Airport (EAS) to San Sebastian costs €80 per car for 1–3 passengers and €110 per van for 4–8. It is a fixed price for the whole vehicle, the same amount you pay when you book. The road distance is 21 km via GI-20; the drive takes about 20 min with clear roads, so plan on 20–30 min at busy times.
Where the driver waits: The driver waits in the arrivals area on the ground floor of the San Sebastián Airport terminal, after you leave the baggage reclaim hall, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free; the driver helps with your luggage.
San Sebastian Airport lies in Hondarribia, on the Txingudi bay at the mouth of the Bidasoa, with France on the opposite bank. The city of San Sebastian, Donostia in Basque, is about 21 km away by road. The drive either takes the tolled AP-8 motorway past Irun or the free GI-636 through Lezo, Oiartzun and Errenteria, entering the city from the east. Traffic is heaviest at weekday rush hours, on summer weekends and during Semana Grande (Aste Nagusia) in mid-August, when fireworks over La Concha draw large crowds.
The Alameda del Boulevard separates the Parte Vieja, the old town at the foot of Monte Urgull, from the grid of the Centro. The Parte Vieja, with Plaza de la Constitucion, the basilica of Santa Maria del Coro and the San Telmo Museum, is mostly pedestrian, so cars stop on the Boulevard or nearby streets. La Concha beach and its promenade curve west from the city hall towards Ondarreta and Monte Igueldo. Across the Urumea river lies Gros, with Zurriola beach and the Kursaal, venue of the film festival in September.
Public transport instead: Lurraldebus (Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa), operated by Ekialdebus bus BI01 (Hondarribia (Aeropuerto) – Donostia (Autobus geltokia)) from Aeropuerto de San Sebastián, bus stop A in front of the terminal to Donostia / San Sebastián bus station (Autobus geltokia), next to the Renfe Estación del Norte — about 21–30 min, about every 60 min, first departure from the airport about 7:30, last about 21:45, every day (timetable October 2026).
