Sestriere from Turin Airport (TRN) by private transfer: €250 per car (1–3 people) or €310 per van (4–8), fixed per vehicle and identical to the checkout price. On the road it is 107 km via A32 and A55, roughly 1h 40min when traffic is light and 1h 40min – 2h when it is not.
Meeting point: The driver waits in the Arrivals area of the single passenger terminal of Turin Airport, at the exit after baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. Flight tracking is included, the first hour after landing is free waiting time, and the driver carries your bags to the car.
Sestriere is a purpose-built ski resort at the Colle del Sestriere pass, about 2,035 metres high, and one of the main centres of the Via Lattea ski area that hosted Alpine events of the 2006 Winter Olympics. From the airport the route takes the Turin ring road west to the A32 Frejus motorway (toll), climbs the Susa Valley to the Oulx exit, then follows the road through Cesana Torinese and up a series of bends to the pass. In winter, snow equipment is needed on the final mountain section.
The resort is compact: hotels, apartment blocks and shops cluster around the central square near the pass, with the two round towers among the first buildings of the village. Lifts towards Monte Sises, Monte Fraiteve and Banchetta start close to the centre, so most accommodation is a short walk from the slopes. The Borgata area lies slightly lower towards Pragelato, and Sauze d'Oulx, Claviere and Montgenèvre are linked on skis within the Via Lattea. In summer the resort has a golf course and is a base for hiking and cycling over the passes.
Public transport instead: Arriva Italia bus airport line Torino - Caselle Aeroporto from Turin Airport, Arrivals to Torino Porta Susa / Torino Porta Nuova (Piazza Carlo Felice) — about 45–50 min, €7.50 single ticket, every 15 or 30 minutes, every day; direct runs from the airport at minutes 15 and 45 on weekdays. Trenitalia (SFM Torino) train SFM3 Torino - Susa / Bardonecchia from Torino Porta Nuova to Oulx, every 30 minutes on weekdays between Torino Porta Nuova and Bussoleno, 1 change. Link bus (Via Lattea) bus Oulx - Sestriere from Oulx railway station to Sestriere, 2 changes. No direct public transport from Turin Airport to Sestriere: airport bus to Torino Porta Nuova, SFM3 train to Oulx, then the Link bus from Oulx station to Sestriere.
