Getting from Zurich Airport (ZRH) to Interlaken takes about 1h 55min by car on an empty road (1h 55min – 2h 25min in heavy traffic) over 134 km via A8 and A4. Our private transfer costs €360 for a car with 1–3 passengers or €440 for a van with 4–8 — the vehicle price you see is the price you pay at booking.
On arrival: The driver waits in the arrival hall your flight leads to, Arrival 1 or Arrival 2, after baggage reclaim and customs, holding a sign with your name. If the flight is late, the driver adjusts to the real landing time; 60 minutes of waiting are included and help with the luggage is part of the service.
Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, about 130 km from Zurich Airport. The fastest road route heads south past Zug and Lucerne on the A4, A14 and A2, then follows the A8 through the Lopper tunnel and along Lake Sarnen before climbing over the Brünig Pass and descending to Lake Brienz. The motorway sections need the Swiss vignette. The Brünig road can be slow in winter weather and on busy summer weekends.
Interlaken is a small town built along the Höheweg, the avenue that runs beside the Höhematte meadow from Interlaken West station towards Interlaken Ost. Most hotels line the Höheweg and the streets around it, and Unterseen sits just across the Aare. Interlaken Ost is the starting point of the mountain railways to Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen and the Jungfrau region, while boats on both lakes leave from piers next to the two stations. Cars can reach hotel entrances throughout the town.
