By direct bus (Alsa)

Alsa runs a direct coach between the airport and Benidorm, with more than 32 services a day. The first bus leaves the airport at 07:00 and reaches Benidorm bus station at 07:45; the last one leaves at 23:00. The Benidorm stops are the bus station (calle Francisco Llorca Antón) and Avenida Europa. The fare on the Benidorm – Alicante Airport line is €7.99. At the airport the bus stops on the departures roadway (2nd floor, departures level). One suitcase or backpack up to 20 kg travels free; an extra piece costs from €5.00. Tickets can be bought online and shown on your phone, and Alsa advises being at the stop 15 minutes early.

By bus and TRAM

Bus C-6 runs every day from the airport into Alicante, stopping at Alfonso X El Sabio and Plaza de los Luceros, where it connects with the TRAM d'Alacant. The TRAM network runs along the Costa Blanca to Benidorm and on towards Dénia. This route needs two tickets and a change in central Alicante and takes considerably longer than the direct coach, so it only makes sense if you are stopping in Alicante or the coast towns on the way.

By car

The usual route is the AP-7 north past Alicante and Villajoyosa: 64 km, about 52 minutes without traffic. Traffic builds on summer weekends and in August, especially at the exits to the seafront. Many hotels sit on one-way streets around Avenida del Mediterráneo, so check your hotel's access and parking before you arrive.
