Line 40 runs between the airport and the Estación de Costa Adeje bus station via Los Cristianos. Titsa gives 40 minutes for the whole route. Buses leave the airport about every 30 minutes from 06:30 to 21:40, every day. Towards Costa Adeje the bus only stops at intermediate stops to let passengers off, so it runs close to an express service.
The bus station is not on the seafront. Hotels along Fañabé, Torviscas and Playa del Duque can still be a walk or a short taxi ride away, so check the distance before you plan to walk with suitcases.
Night line 711 runs from Santa Cruz via the airport and Los Cristianos to the Costa Adeje bus station. In the Costa Adeje direction it passes the airport at 23:00, 23:30, 00:05, 01:00, 01:35, 02:40, 03:20, 04:10 and 04:50. In the timetable the run between Costa Adeje and the airport takes about 30 minutes. At the airport the 711 stops at the departures terminal.
Titsa prices single tickets by distance. Titsa says that for now it does not accept cash on board, so have a bank card ready, or use a ten+ travel card or the ten+ móvil app. A 1-day tourist ticket costs €10.00 for unlimited bus and tram travel for 24 hours from first use, and the 7-day version costs €50.00. The ten+ card itself costs €2.00, and the airport machines sell and top up the tourist tickets.
Taxis wait at the signed rank on the arrivals level of the terminal. The fare is metered. By road Costa Adeje is 20 km away, about 18 minutes without traffic, west along the TF-1 motorway to the Adeje exits. Traffic builds in the evening near the Playa de las Américas exits. Much of the seafront is pedestrian, so cars stop at the hotel entrance.
