El Gouna is a lagoon resort town 40 km north of Hurghada International Airport (HRG) by road. We found no official public bus from the airport, so in practice you arrive by taxi, hire car or a pre-booked transfer.
Short answer: there is no confirmed public transport from Hurghada Airport to El Gouna. El Gouna's official site lists Go Bus intercity and shuttle buses serving the town, but no airport service, and we found no official airport timetable or fare. The realistic options are a taxi from outside the terminal, a hire car or a pre-booked transfer. By car it is 40 km, about 44 minutes without traffic, north along the Red Sea road to the El Gouna gate. Our private transfer costs €25 per car (1–3 passengers) and €35 per van (4–8).

El Gouna's official transport page names Go Bus as the company running inter-city and shuttle buses to and from El Gouna, with several service classes. It does not describe a route from Hurghada International Airport, and we could not find an official timetable or fare for one. Plan on a car for the airport leg. Inside El Gouna you can get around by electric tuk-tuk and, between Downtown and Zaytouna Island, by shuttle boat.
Taxis wait outside the arrivals area at Hurghada Airport. We found no officially published taxi fare for the trip to El Gouna, so confirm the price with the driver before you set off. El Gouna is a gated town: cars stop briefly at the entrance checkpoint before driving on to the hotels.
The road route is 40 km: out of the airport, through the northern side of Hurghada and north along the Red Sea coast road, then right at the El Gouna turn-off. Without traffic it takes about 44 minutes; El Gouna itself says it is less than 40 minutes from the airport. Hotels sit on separate lagoons and islands joined by bridges, so the last kilometres depend on where you stay.
A private transfer Hurghada Airport → El Gouna costs €25 per car for 1–3 passengers and €35 per van for 4–8 passengers. The price is per vehicle, fixed and paid by card when you book, so there is nothing to agree at the kerb, and luggage is included. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. A child seat costs +€10. The driver handles the gate stop and takes you to your hotel's door.
Hurghada Airport → El Gouna
Car, 1–3 passengers: €25 · Van, 4–8 passengers: €35
Hurghada Airport has two passenger terminals (T1 and T2). Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands, after passport control and baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and you get 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, which helps when the visa and passport queues are long.
Without a public bus, the choice is between a taxi, a hire car and a transfer. A taxi works if you are happy to agree the price on arrival. A hire car makes sense if you plan to explore beyond El Gouna. With children, dive or kite gear, a late landing or a group of four or more, a pre-booked transfer gives a fixed price and a driver already waiting; one van for €35 covers up to eight people.
Not one we could confirm. El Gouna's official site lists Go Bus services to the town, but no airport route, and we found no official airport timetable or fare.
